If TG Connect shows as connected but your local URL is not opening on the TestGrid device or browser, check the following:
Confirm that your local application is running
Make sure the application/server is active on your machine.
Example:
localhost:3000,127.0.0.1:8080, or your custom local URL should be reachable locally.
Verify the URL on your local browser
Open the same URL directly in your local system browser.
If it does not open locally, TG Connect will not be able to access it either.
Ensure TG Connect is still running
Check the terminal where TG Connect was started.
Make sure there are no errors, disconnections, or stopped processes.
Check the proxy port configuration
Confirm that the correct proxy port is entered on the TestGrid device or browser.
If the wrong port is used, the device/browser will not route traffic through TG Connect.
Check firewall, VPN, or proxy restrictions
Your company firewall, VPN, or internal proxy may block the connection.
Try disabling VPN temporarily, if allowed by your organization, or check internally whether the required connection/IPs can be bypassed.
For mobile devices, check TG connect option is enabled
Make sure the mobile device is routing traffic through TG Connect correctly.
If the issue still persists, share the following details with TestGrid Support:
Local URL format being accessed
TG Connect terminal logs
Proxy port configured
Device/browser used
Screen recording of the behavior
Screenshot needed:
Add screenshots for:
TG Connect terminal showing connected status
Proxy/port configuration on the TestGrid device or browser
Error shown when opening the local URL
